Hey! I'm Kate, the owner of Nurture Flora Co., a design studio and urban farm dedicated to creating sustainable wedding flowers, using only local blooms and completely zero waste.
Welcome! I opened Nurture Flora Co. to re-imagine wedding floristry as a force for good. Nature is the guide, muse and partner in creating gorgeous designs.

The Creation
of Nurture Flora Co.
The best stories, I believe, are those that turn dirt into flowers. The origin story of Nurture Flora Co. is just like that. 2020 was a year that changed the wedding industry, the world, and me personally. What a year to redefine what success, sustainability and growth can look like. For me, it looked like lots and lot of dirt, seeds, some bulbs, so much research and patience. That research took me through some hard truths of the flower industry and agriculture in general. It lead me to make decisions I am proud of: the creation of Nurture Flora Co. It’s a beautiful story.
How? We use no single use plastic items, reuse supplies, and all vases and flowers are locally sourced! Also, flowers are recycled back into the garden at the end of their life.

Nature inspires us to celebrate. At Nurture Flora Co. we move with the seasons and use the inspiration and flowers nature gives us seasonally and locally. With this framework, we work with nature and our clients to craft the mood, style and color of an event. We start with a consultation where we talk generally through a color thought process. And then, soon before the event, we meet for a mock up and decide on color and flower specifics.
Local flowers and community support
Nurture Flora Co. is a small business supported by and giving back to our community. We love being a part of the Bancroft Center for Sustainability, giving back world wide and using only local blooms.
